Simon Kimbangu was a Congolese prophet who was born on September the 12th 1887 in Nkamba near Tysville , actually called Mbanza Ngungu . It is situated just about 200 miles from Kinshasa. A son of father Kuyela and mother Luezi. His father was a religious traditional leader. Kimbangu was baptized in 1915 and worked as catechist for numerous years. In his childhood kimbangu operated so many miracles. One of which happened when he turned a feather into a living bird and also transformed a rotten coconut fruit into a good one. Kimbangu had been a wonderful child with an outstanding knowledge and wisdom. He did not attend any school. As a child, he also told his father that he existed before him. Also, in the kingdom of Kongo, came a female prophet from 1684 to 1706 in the name of Beatrice Kimpa Vita. She operated so many miracles. But she was doing so by invoking the name of Kimbangu to act on her. Kimbangu was not even born yet. That means, Kimbangu existed before he was born. Kimpa Vita was burned alive by the Portuguese colonists just because she revealed that Jesus Christ was black originated from the Kongo Kingdom.

In 1918 the lord Jesus Christ appeared to him in person in Nkamba his hometown. A year when a tragic flu epidemic spread all over the country. Jesus revealed to him a special mission to accomplish on earth. The lord said Kimbangu, Kimbangu , I have selected you to redeem the oppressed and rejected nations from the ambush of the evil and prepare the humanity to embrace the universal kingdom of the almighty God on the earth so that eternal peace prevails under the ruling of the holy spirit. Kimbangu refused to the lord's mission replying, lord I'm not able to accomplish this, point somebody else who is intelligent, for I'm a useless person. The lord replied, Kimbangu, I have looked around the world and have not seen anybody who is able to fulfill this mission, only you. At all the instances that Kimbangu was talking to the lord. his wife Muilu Marie Kiawanga overheard an unusual voice coming out in the house but never asked him about whom he was talking to. Until one day when she decided to ask him about.
Kimbangu replied, I was talking to the lord. He has given me a very special mission and task to fulfill on earth and the lord named it, the duty of the third person in the trinity who is the holy spirit.

As the lord Jesus Christ insisted for numerous times, Kimbangu left Nkamba his hometown and went to Leopoldville (Kinshasa) where he worked for an oil company called H.C.B but never get paid for his job performance. Having suffer that, Kimbangu left Leopoldville (Kinshasa) and went to Kasangulu in the lower Kongo where he was trading blended, boiled casava roots and brought them to Leopoldville to sell them in order to survive. He was doing so back and forward. But it was not beneficial for him to keep on doing it. He decided to regain his hometown Nkamba to obey to the lord's mission.

April 6, 1921, Kimbangu started his mission by creating a spiritual awakening movement in accordance with the lord Jesus requirements.

in March 1921 he cured a woman called Nkiantondo just in laying his hand on and prayer. This first miracle news spread all over the region and led many people to Nkamba. On April 6 when he was accomplishing his mission in public for the first time, he preached the gospel and cured people with any kind of ailments. Kimbangu rose dead people back to life, recovered blind people eyes and were able to see, deaf people able to talk, deficient people able to walk. A number of people had suffered some incurred ailments that doctors could not heal, but Kimbangu was able to heal them just with a prayer. Kimbangu ordered people to abandon sorcery, adultery, alcohol, tabacos, unusual dancing and traditional magics. He revealed the truth of the bible through the power of the Holy spirit. For what he was doing, people started calling him the savior. Unfortunately, his mission only lasted 6 months.

In fact, people came from different regions to seek salvation. Army, Farms, Hospitals and Companies were all closed because workers abandoned their daily works in direction to Nkamba.
Catholic missionaries, Baptist's missionaries and businesspeople in the region including Thysville and Leopoldville the actual Kinshasa, complained on how Kimbangu's divine miracles made their businesses go down. For that reason, the Belgian administration reacted by cracking down on all of those who had broken their companies' rules. A warrant was issued against Kimbangu. On June 6, 1921, soldiers came to invade Nkamba in order to arrest Kimbangu and his followers. But they managed to escape in the bushes leading Kimbangu to fulfill his mission in the secrecy.

On September the 10th 1921 Kimbangu was preaching with his furious face and staring eyes addressing to the crowd as follow, today is a special day for black people and the entire humanity. I'm revealed that the moment of my arrest has arrived. Because of that, an incredible difficult moment of persecutions on me and my followers will lunch. But be calm and confident because God will be with us. He will never abandon whoever believe in him. The Belgian government authorities will physically arrest me. but you my people, be silent with nonviolent acts. Remember this, they will never destroy the work that I have accomplished. It is true that my physical personality will be submitted into humiliation and tortures. My spiritual personality will also be put into fight against the injustices caused by the people of this world who are in darkness. People who came to colonize us. But I came to liberate the people of Kongo and black people across the world. Today we are still being persecuted, but in times to come, white people will become black and black will become white. Not in the color of skin but we will assume all of the responsibilities of our continent on our own and they will be submitted to our decisions. We will also be the same as they are in their countries. For everything that is going to happen on me and you my followers, I will not punish them but the lord himself will.

In days to come, a temple will be built in Nkamba in which the spiritual interests will be considerably beneficial to our country, the African continent and the entire world. You will see it when that moment comes. War will persist in the entire world and the Africain governments will be seduced on white people influences and advises causing war and killing one another in Africa. Lots of young people will leave Africa in search of better lives in Europe, America and Asia. The entire Africa will be independent. Dictators will come into power after the independence. It will take a million miles for black people to regain their spiritual maturity which will allow Africans to be materially and spiritually independent, then the third step will emerge. The great king of the king will be born in the Kongo. He will be engaged with a highly important mission which will make him a great political, religious and scientific leader. He will restore the broken link between God and his beloved people by bringing harmony among Africans. Because there has never been any race on earth being mistreated, humiliated like black people. I myself Kimbangu will be the master of that coming King.

The King will come with a powerful spiritual message in a book. This book will be rejected. But will eventually be accepted by all. The King will also be affronted by the people of his generation. But gradually, people will understand him and follow his instructions. Who will prepare the people of Kongo without that coming King (Instructor)? before that the people of Kongo must at first be instructed. You don't know what the spiritual war means.

So, when the people of Kongo will start to remote themselves and try to recover materially and spiritually for a total liberation, any country that will stand to attack the Kongo will be defeated and deepened into water. You have never experienced the power of those who were sent by God. It's useless to challenge God.
Just think of when you are about to die, you won't have no time to organize your belongings. You don't even know why you live, because our physical existence is worthless to God. Why killing your friend and hope to live a longer life? God is not the space neither the time. He is the one who rules over everything on earth. The Kongo generation will lose everything and will be intoxicated by false teachings and principals of others leading to forget the principals of our ancestors. That's why I urge you not to neglect your mother languages. Teach them to your children because in times to come, all foreign languages will be forgotten.

Finally, Kimbangu said, let's pray. After his prayer he handed himself to the authorities to arrest him. It happened exactly on his thirty fourth birthday (September the 12th 1921). It's to mention that Kimbangu had 12 disciples. His followers and disciples were also arrested with their necks chained along with Kimbangu.
